What is field hockey?
A sport like ice hockey except instead of being played on ice, it's played on a grass or turf field. A ball is used instead of a puck, and the sticks they use are quite different. The rules are also different.

Field hockey is deemed a non-contact sport but that doesn't mean you can't get hurt. The biggest risk for field hockey players is their potential to be hit by the ball or another player's stick.
Problem
As with many sports, the feet are very important tools for an athlete. This is no different for field hockey. Field hockey balls can travel up to 100 miles an hour when shot on goal. This enough force to break bones.

A foot injury can put many stresses on the athlete like the following:
  - Months out of the sport
  - Hospital bills
  - Lost scholarships
  - Lack of confidence on the field
Most shoes have integrated hard plastic pieces or rubber that give the shoe structure and protect the foot shown in GREEN
But because the shoe needs to be flexible, field hockey shoes tend to have a weak spot shown in RED
